I read Luke 6:27-36 today and was struck by a question. Often we hear contemporary Christians (myself included) say: "We shouldn't let people ( take advantage of || walk over ) us just because we're Christians." As disconcerting as it may be, I am no longer sure I can agree with this statement. This passage pretty well explicitly says that if someone takes something from us, to not demand it back. Does this remind anybody else of the Ned Flanders - Homer relationship?
Talk about a difficult command to follow.
